We invite you, friends and members of our partnership Federations to volunteer in the Arad-Tamar region. We can offer a unique Israeli experience in our communities while volunteering in our community activities such as English language enrichment in the schools, working with immigrants, elderly and special needs children.

The Partnership covers one-way taxi from or to Ben Gurion airport, a simple but amply furnished apartment with fully equipped kitchen and air-conditioning. The apartment is centrally located and comfortable. Anyone wishing to use the apartment must coordinate with our offices in advance.

When the apartment is in use by other volunteers, we can offer the following options:
" "Yehelim" boutique hotel with an incredible view overlooking the Desert Mountains with fully equipped hotel rooms and breakfast included at $100 per night (up to 2 per room). 
" "Inbar" Hotel which is located at the entrance to Arad right in the centre of the city at $120 per person per night, breakfast included.
" Youth Hostel with communal rooms of up to eight per room at $70 per person per night, breakfast included.
" If you prefer to volunteer at Tamar, options are limited and this must be coordinated with our offices on a one-to-one basis.

Activities in the area:

Arad:
1. The Doll Museum (Artists Quarter Arad) : entrance fee $7:00
2. The Glass Museum (Artists Quarter Arad) : entrance fee $7:00
3. The Earth Gallery (Artists Quarter Arad) : entrance fee $7:00
" All three museums offer craft workshops at a fee
4. Yatir Boutique winery (entrance fee)
5. Tel Arad archeological park (entrance fee)

Tamar:
" In Tamar there are two artists who welcome visitors to their workshops - must be coordinated in advance.
" The Botanical Gardens at Kibbutz Ein Gedi
" Masada archeological park and museum (entrance fee)

Additionally, Jeep tours can be arranged at an approximate cost of $250 per jeep (up to 8 people) for 4 hour tour.

Arad is located 45 km. (40 minute drive) from the city of Beer Sheva and 30 minutes from the Dead Sea Beaches. Ein Gedi is located walking distance from the Dead Sea and 1 hour drive from Jerusalem.

All volunteers are required to complete the application form and all potential volunteers must coordinate their stay well in advance with the P2K offices in Arad.
